Tasting Notes celebrates the sensory experience of savoring food and wine produced in Northern Michigan, while acknowledging that the exhibition is only a taste of the full picture: the commitment, dedication, and grit of the industry’s workers. The exhibition looks to the region's artists, who each bring unique connections to our food system—wine makers and marketers, champions of local farmers and chefs, and conservation advocates. Collectively, the exhibition serves as a thank-you letter to farmers and restaurant workers, those who take immense care in tending the land and nourishing our bodies.
